Health and safety of the farmers is of utmost importance. The farmer toils day in and day out in the fields. Be it harsh daylight or heavy rains, he has to work in the fields to protect and nurture it in order to get a good crop. Most of the farmers are unaware about the use and potential dangers of using chemicals like pesticides and fertilisers in their field. On one hand these chemicals are important to get a good crop which will fetch good income for the farmer, but on the other hand these chemicals are harmful for the farmers health. 

Under this program farmers are trained to use insecticides and pesticides properly and effectively. They are explained about the various harmful effects of the pesticides and insecticides and are trained to handle these carefully. It is important that the farmers understand and follow safety issues while spraying these in the farms. Lectures are conducted by various experts in agriculture who guide the farmers and train them to protect themselves while spraying chemicals in the fields. The farmers are told about the importance of protective gears and trained to use them correctly. The foundation also distributes free protect gears to the farmers to help them stay safe and healthy while they are busy in growing food for the nation.
